Meet the Master Trainers

Kris Tay

RSVP: Laxman Murugappan

An inspirational speaker and workshop facilitator, Kris Tay is passionate about maximising and unlocking the full creativity and potential of children and adults alike. Kris specialises in creativity, communication, public speaking, leadership, strategic planning, personal mastery, interpersonal relationships, critical thinking, change management, train-the-trainers, teambuilding, coaching and mentoring programmes.

A graduate in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore, Kris is a certified Facilitator for the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methodology. Kris in her capacity as the Area Governor of Toastmasters International in 2008, has mentored many club leaders and in 2009, Kris was awarded the Area Governor of the Year Award.

Kris’ passionate dedication and her plethora of experiences contribute to her effectiveness as a trainer cum facilitator. Most importantly, her work is fuelled by her passion in touching and transforming lives.

In 2010, she carried out a pilot project for LEGO SERIOUS PLAYTM for Education in a local primary school and the children learnt to use metaphors, craft stories, and master the skills in public speaking. She had also facilitated parent-child bonding workshops using LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methodology.

Kris has received very positive feedback from a host of clients, some of them being, JP Morgan, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Social & Family Development, Singapore, Citibank, Microsoft, Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, Singapore Management University, and the Prime Minister’s Office in Kuala Lumpur.

Masao Ishihara

A Certified Facilitator in the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methodology (2005), Masao Ishihara is passionate about helping individuals, teams and organizations discover hidden and unspoken values and beliefs to bring out true success. 

Masao is a firm believer of an educational theory, constuctionism which was originally proposed by Dr. Seymour Papiert and researchers at Media Lab, MIT, USA. Masao has been applying the theory to many educational activities for kids to adults, from science education to organizational design practices. Since LEGO SERIOUS PLAY (LSP) was developed based on the theory, Masao became the first trained facilitator in Asia. 

Masao has also over twenty working experience with Robert Rasmussen, the architect of the LSP methodology. He graduated with a degree in Master of Science in Management Information System, from the Boston University, Boston, USA. Masao has run many workshops using the LSP methodology and materials in his years of experiences in Japan and Asia. Rasmussen Consulting Japan, where Masao works, has an extensive list of clients including Toyota motors, Hitachi systems, Microsoft Japan, University of Tokyo, Government Agencies of Japan.
