Decoding the Entrepreneurial Spirit of Women

#IWD2020 The dialogues are changing

In the week coming up to International Women’s Day 2020, I was invited to a well-thought through event by adgully.com. The event revolved around engaging discussions on the risk-taking ability of women, women and entrepreneurship and corporate culture with women leaders.

The event also lauded some very eminent women in the fields of advertising, marketing and media and it was my singular pleasure that one of my dear colleagues was felicitated with a lifetime achievement award: Lynn de Souza has done some stellar work in the advertising and media world. With Social Access Communications Lynn’s ideal is to help those in the social sector with communications strategy and support.

Our panel discussion featured (besides me) Lara Balsara, Executive Director, Madison World; Rachna Baruah, Founder & Director, Madchatter Brand Solutions and Sunanda Chak, Chief Operating Officer, 4 Minute Mile. Rutu Mody Kamdar, Founder & Managing Director, Jigsaw Brand Consultants, moderated the session.

Decoding the entrepreneurial spirit of women

Click above for a link to a write-up and a video of the brief session. As always decoding the entrepreneurial spirit of women is not easy. But we tried. And you can give you say in it.

Thank you Adgully for a well-orchestrated event!

My final take this International Women’s Day? The dialogues are changing.

  1. This is such an important message that the dialogues are changing. We need to be evolving and refining all the time in order to achieve gender balance. Well done.

    1. Thank you so much Regina. All too often people focus on the negative side. This year I saw a glimmer of hope when I heard both women AND men speak in gender-neutral tones. I believe it’s a step forward even though it may be small. Thank you for acknowledging it and thanks for commenting.
